After a little break, our sub-imprint for special appearances – Supérieur – is back with some minor changes in look and concept. With this release, we start with terrifically designed full-covers and we take a more laissez-faire approach to the one track / one remix rule.
As our next contributor, we are delighted to welcome New York based South African Brendon Moeller. Not many words are necessary to introduce this king of dub. His subversivity is legendary. With his monikers Beat Pharamacy, Echologist or simply under his real name, he drops pure pearls in all possible shades of dub on highly respected imprints like Deep Space Media, Third Ear, Rekids, Echocord or Leena in regular intervals. With “The Big Thrill” he has made a brilliant Dub-Techno bomb full of raw dancefloor energy for us.
“The Big Thrill” is a highly dynamic monster, with lively dubs and a pushing beat. The bassline feels like a punch in your gut and the classy filter action adds a portion of oldschoolness. Outstanding peaktime pleaser!
“The Big Thrill dub” is a totally weird edit which guarantees confused faces and entangled legs on the dancefloor with its heavy dubs and delays.
Lemos has reduced the track to a raw and chord-dominated form of appearance. The low tuned vocal snippets he has added underline the oldschoolish feeling. The result is a tune you might also expect on a potato printed vinyl, bought at the Hardwax.
