Dear music lovers, please welcome our newest imprint for House-related tools and dubs: Outils du Connaisseur. The word outils means tools in French, so the literal translation is: The tools of the connoisseur. This is what it’s all about: Music for DJs, simple but highly effective.
On our first Outils release, we welcome Martin Beume from Cologne, who has already released under Beume and Golden Red on Sub Static and Squonk in the past. All tracks on this release have already received massive feedback and were hammered by DJs like Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Karotte, Audiofly, Marco Carola, Raresh etc. over the summer. Outils will be starting a new era on Connaisseur.
Nexus* – Peaktime, baby! A track somewhere between house and techno, reduced to a stoic marching groove. Exactly what we were looking for when we decided to found Outils du Connaisseur.
Nexus (Moodymanc Dub)* – Manchester’s Moodymanc aka Dubble D turns Nexus into a massive drum affair. The professional drummer keeps the bassline, the pumping heart of the tune, but adds a fabulous voodoo twist to it.
Texgreen is an idiosyncratic house track. The alienated hurdy-gurdy gives the groove a reeling feeling. The uplifting moments, however, are generated by the pumping second bassline, which is sporadically added on top. Special and outstanding!
