When you enter the sound of Wareika, vibrations envelop you as you feel the spirit of the music. The collaboration-celebration of Florian Schirmacher, Henrik Raabe and Jakob Seidensticker listened and searched for the perfect music fusion before finding their way. They are inspired by the spirit of the music, which enables them to keep balanced. It is through their constant experimentation and relationship to their instruments, such as the MPC, guitar and piano, that they found the voice of Wareika.

Jakob and Henrik met in school and have achieved success as the duo The Havana Boys, which they founded at that time. Florian joined them in Hamburg after his theology and music studies. And all three have found their way to express themselves through their focus on Wareika, in addition to their other music projects.

Wareika includes the spirits of other musicians, such as Sun Ra, Fela Kuti, John Coltrane, Gabor Szabo and current electronic releases. The influence of these Masters are found in each Wareika song, but within the essence of the musical interaction of the three musicians themselves. This turns the sound of Wareika into their unique sound. They are working on an organic flow, easily felt on the dancefloor and serves as the warranty of each record.

As a live performance group, the “Wareikians” find commonality on the dancefloor by pushing basslines, synthesizing emotions and through emotive vocals. They bring a “Concert” to the club, creating a unique sound– candy for the ears.
